HDR image converter: JPG to Ultra HDR
Give your highlights real brightness on HDR screens, while keeping a normal JPEG for everyone else.
Guides for this tool
What the converter does
It keeps your photo as a normal JPEG and adds a gain map: a second, small image that tells HDR screens how much brighter each area may be. Highlights — sky, reflections, lights — gain brightness; mid-tones and shadows stay as they are.
Compatible everywhere
A screen or app that does not know Ultra HDR simply shows the normal JPEG. Nothing breaks, and the file can be shared like any photo.
Privacy
The photo is converted in your browser and never uploaded. The new file contains no metadata from the original.
